Essentially a round, flat sticker than needs to be heated with a hair dryer in order to be shaped and molded to the domed center of the steering wheel. If you get it even slightly wrong in any way, it looks bad.

This thing is flat. The place where it's intended to go is dome shaped. Not good. The instructions are to heat it before applying but, all that did was create cracks on the appliqué. They should've made it out of hard dome shaped plastic. I'm going to let it sit overnight and see how itvtufns out. If not suitable, i will return it. I don't like to give money away.

Ok - I know they couldn't make it out of aluminum or even hard plastic since it would become a death threat if the airbag went off.  Still it would be nice if it could be shaped just a little bit so that it would fit the dome contour of the wheel a little bit easier.  I ended up pulling mine off because I managed to wrinkle the design a little and I couldn't get it to stay down on the edges.
Not sure that I will try again.  (Note: I was working with the Blackjack version - not the Union Jack).

Not terribly impressed with this piece.  Someone more versed in applying these thick pieces definitely would have better luck than I.  This is a relatively thick and flat appliqué that you are trying to press on to a domed surface.  That is why you need the heat.  You HAVE to heat this up before applying it.  I would highly suggest having a hair dryer in the car with you while you are trying to apply to keep things warm.  And you HAVE to push from the center out to the edges as you try to apply it.  If you try to run your fingers around  the circumference it can create ripples in the design.  I never did get it fully flat.  Going to let it sit for a few hours and see what it looks like after it cools down.  My guess is that I will probably be pulling it off.
It would be great if they could press these out of aluminum like they do with the shifter covers.  I would definitely try that if they did.
