my existing stock of lens 'inserts' seem loose in the replacement light ... I had to use some tape to hold it in place.

Purchased puddle lights for my 2005 R52 Cooper.  Eventhough the manufacturer lists 2007 and later as compatible models,  I was told by Gobadges they would still work.  
Well, not only did they install in seconds and work like a charm, but there was no cutting of the door trim required like later model year Coopers!  
Gobadges responded to my emails quickly and provided a great product.
Highly recommend!
